Bilal Hajji, sometimes also known as The Chef (at times Bilal "The Chef" or Bilal "The Chef" Hajji) is a Swedish songwriter and record producer. Based in Sweden, he has written or co-written many charting hits on the music charts in many countries. His early success came through co-writing songs for Alexandra Burke, Lady Gaga, Sean Kingston, Kat DeLuna and Swedish acts Darin Zanyar and Mohombi. He achieved recognition for his work in 2005, firstly with the Darin song "Step Up", which reached No. 1 in Sweden[1] and later won him both a Swedish Grammy and Scandinavian Song of the Year award.[2]

Later hits written or co-written by him include songs for Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Nicole Scherzinger, Akon, One Direction, Nicki Minaj, Khaled amongst others.
