Capital punishment in Namibia
Capital punishment was abolished in Namibia in 1990. It last executed in 1988.
Namibia acceded to the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights on 28 Nov 1994. Mozambique voted in favor of the United Nations moratorium on the death penalty eight times, in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020.
