David Ewart Howard (5 March 1918 – 21 January 2023) was a Canadian sailor who competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics.

Early life and military career

Howard served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Navy, reaching the rank of lieutenant. He served on HMCS Dundas in 1945.

Athletic career

Howard competed in the dragon event in the 1956 Summer Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia, on a team with his brother Cliff Howard and Donald Tytler.

Personal life and death

Howard died on 21 January 2023, at the age of 104.
