Gatab (Persian: گتاب, also Romanized as Gatāb; also known as Bālā Gatāb, Bālā Ketāb, Gatāb-e Bālā, and Ketāb) is a city in, and the capital of, Gatab District of Babol County, Mazandaran province, Iran.
At the 2006 census, its population was 6,956 in 1,744 households. The following census in 2011 counted 7,242 people in 2,084 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 7,374 people in 2,340 households.
