The International Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series is one of the major categories of the International Emmy Awards, the primary awards ceremony of the International television industry. The category is described on the official IATAS website as being open to comedy series which are "any program devoted primarily to light entertainment with scripted dialogue" (i.e. sketch comedy, sitcom, parodies, stand-up, etc.).[1]

Rules & Regulations

Comedy: Any program devoted primarily to light entertainment with scripted dialogue (i.e. sketch comedy, sitcom, parodies, stand-up, etc.).[2]

  • The program should fit the minimum format length of a televised half-hour time slot.
  • If the program is a series, will be accepted only one (1) representative episode.
  • Multiple submissions from the same series are not permitted.
