Ryan Michael Bergert (born March 8, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the San Diego Padres organization.

Bergert attended GlenOak High School in Canton, Ohio, where he played baseball. As a senior in 2019, he went 4–2 with a 3.19 ERA and 66 strikeouts over 37 innings. After graduating, he enrolled at West Virginia University where he played college baseball.

As a freshman at West Virginia in 2019, Bergert pitched to a 2–0 record and a 1.85 ERA over 34 innings. As a sophomore in 2020, he posted a 2.92 ERA over 24+23 innings. That summer, he played in the Northwoods League for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. He did not play a game with West Virginia in 2021 after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Bergert was then selected by the San Diego Padres in the sixth round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft.

Bergert signed and made his professional debut near the end of the 2021 season with the Arizona Complex League Padres, giving up no earned runs over 11 innings. He played the 2022 season with the Fort Wayne TinCaps, starting 24 games and going 4–10 with a 5.84 ERA and 129 strikeouts over 103+13 innings. He returned to Fort Wayne to open the 2023 season. He was promoted to the San Antonio Missions in mid-July. Over 23 games (twenty starts), Bergert went 6–4 with a 2.73 ERA and 126 strikeouts over 105+23 innings.

Homer Bush Jr. (born October 13, 2001) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the San Diego Padres organization.

Bush Jr. attended Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas and played college baseball at Grand Canyon University. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the fourth round of the 2023 Major League Baseball draft.

Bush Jr. signed with the Padres and made his professional debut with the Arizona Complex League Padres. He was later promoted to the Lake Elsinore Storm and San Antonio Missions.

His father, Homer Bush, was also drafted by the San Diego Padres and played in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Omar Alejandro Cruz (born January 26, 1999) is a Mexican professional baseball pitcher in the San Diego Padres organization.

Cruz signed with the San Diego Padres as an international free agent in 2017. He made his professional debut in 2018 with the Rookie-level Arizona League Padres and was promoted to the Tri-City Dust Devils of the Class A Short Season Northwest League in July. Over 11 games (ten starts) with the two clubs, he pitched to a 1–1 record with a 1.91 ERA, striking out 59 batters over 42+13 innings. He returned to Tri-City to begin the 2019 season before he was promoted to the Fort Wayne TinCaps of the Class A Midwest League. He compiled a combined 2–3 record and 2.73 ERA over 12 starts, striking out 76 over 56 innings.

On January 19, 2021, Cruz (alongside David Bednar, Drake Fellows, Hudson Head, and Endy Rodríguez) was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in a three team deal that also sent Joe Musgrove to the Padres and Joey Lucchesi to the New York Mets. To begin the 2021 season, he was assigned to the Greensboro Grasshoppers of the High-A East. After seven starts in which he went 3–3 with a 3.45 ERA and 38 strikeouts over 28+23 innings, he was promoted to the Altoona Curve of the Double-A Northeast. Over 14 starts with Altoona, he went 3–4 with a 3.44 ERA over 70+23 innings. He returned to Altoona for the 2022 season. Over 23 games (five starts), Cruz posted a 3–3 record with a 5.03 ERA and 69 strikeouts over 62+23 innings.

On December 6, 2023, Cruz was selected by the Padres in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft.

Anthony Clay Dungan (born June 2, 1996) is an American professional baseball infielder in the San Diego Padres organization.

Dungan attended Yorktown High School in Yorktown, Indiana, where he played baseball. He batted .488 with 13 steals as a senior in 2015. After graduating, he enrolled at Indiana State University where he played college baseball and batted .305 with nine home runs, 38 RBIs, and ten doubles over 61 starts as a senior in 2019. He was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the ninth round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft.

Dungan signed with the Royals and made his professional debut with the Idaho Falls Chukars with whom he was named an All-Star. Over 65 games, he hit .357 with two home runs, 38 RBIs, and 19 doubles. He did not play a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season. In 2021, he played with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals and slashed .288/.357/.405 with nine home runs, 56 RBIs, and 28 stolen bases over 108 games. He was assigned to the Omaha Storm Chasers for the 2022 season. Over 127 games, he compiled a .208/.294/.334 slash line with nine home runs, 52 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases. He returned to Omaha in 2023, hitting .273 with three home runs, thirty RBIs, and 16 stolen bases over 89 games.

On December 6, 2023, the San Diego Padres selected Dungan in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft.

Austin Michael Krob (born September 20, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the San Diego Padres organization.

Krob attended Lisbon High School in Lisbon, Iowa and played college baseball at Texas Christian University (TCU). He was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 12th round of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft.

Krob signed with the Padres and spent his first professional season with the Arizona Complex League Padres and Lake Elsinore Storm. In 2023, he pitched for Lake Elsinore and Fort Wayne TinCaps.

Jakob Joseph Marsee (born June 28, 2001) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the San Diego Padres organization.

Marsee attended Allen Park High School in Allen Park, Michigan and played college baseball at Central Michigan University. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the sixth round of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft. He signed with the Padres and started his professional career that year with the Arizona Complex League Padres and Lake Elsinore Storm.

Nathan Adam Martorella (born February 18, 2001) is an American professional baseball first baseman in the San Diego Padres organization.

Martorella attended Salinas High School in Salinas, California, and played college baseball for the California Golden Bears baseball team. During the summer of 2021, he played in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Cotuit Kettleers. As a junior in 2022, he hit .333 with 11 home runs and 46 RBIs over 55 starts. He was selected by the San Diego Padres in the fifth round with the 150th overall pick in the 2022 Major League Baseball draft.

Martorella signed and split his first professional season between the Arizona Complex League Padres and the Lake Elsinore Storm, hitting .322 over 28 games. He opened the 2023 season with the Fort Wayne TinCaps. In mid-August, he was promoted to the San Antonio Missions. Over 135 games, he slashed .255/.361/.437 with 19 home runs, 88 RBIs, and thirty doubles. He was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League for the Peoria Javelinas after the season.

Joshua Livingstone Mears (born February 21, 2001) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the San Diego Padres organization.

Mears was born in Kirkland, Washington and attended Federal Way High School. He batted .509 with ten home runs as a senior. Mears had committed to play college baseball at Purdue University prior to being drafted.

Mears was selected in the second round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft by the San Diego Padres and received a $1 million signing bonus. After signing with the team, he was assigned to the Arizona League Padres and batted .253 with seven home runs, 24 RBIs, and thirty runs scored in 166 at-bats. Mears was named to the Padres' 2021 Spring Training roster as a non-roster invitee and entered the season as the organization's 10th-ranked prospect by MLB.com. He was assigned to the Low-A Lake Elsinore Storm for the 2021 season. Over 71 games, he slashed .244/.368/.529 with 17 home runs, 48 RBIs, and ten stolen bases. He missed time during the season due to injury.

Sean Reynolds

Sean William Reynolds (born April 19, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is currently a phantom ballplayer, having spent three days on Miami's active roster without appearing in a major league game.

Reynolds attended Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, California. He was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the fourth round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft. After spending his first four years as a first baseman and outfielder, he converted into a pitcher in 2021.

On November 10, 2022, the Marlins added Reynolds to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. Reynolds was optioned to the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos to begin the 2023 season. In 31 appearance split between Pensacola and the Triple–A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, he registered a cumulative 2.66 ERA with 47 strikeouts and 11 saves in 40+23 innings pitched. On July 7, 2023, Reynolds was promoted to the major leagues for the first time. He went unused out of the bullpen and was optioned back to Jacksonville on July 10, becoming a phantom ballplayer.

On August 1, 2023, Reynolds and Garrett Cooper were traded to the San Diego Padres in exchange for Ryan Weathers. He made 17 appearances for the Triple–A El Paso Chihuahuas, but struggled to a 13.50 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 16.0 innings. Reynolds was optioned to Triple–A El Paso to begin the 2024 season.
