Sir Salimullah Medical College (SSMC) (Bengali: স্যার সলিমুল্লাহ মেডিকেল কলেজ) is a state-supported medical college in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 1875 as Dhaka Medical School, it was renamed in 1962 in honor of Nawab Bahadur Sir Khwaja Salimullah (1871-1915), a former Nawab of Dhaka, politician, and patron of education.[1] The school includes Mitford Hospital, The oldest hospitals in Bangladesh.[2]
