Stephanie Cristina Cayo Sanguinetti (born April 8, 1988) is a Peruvian actress, singer and songwriter.

Early life

Cayo was born in Lima, Peru. Aged 9 she appeared in Peruvian telenovela Travesuras del Corazón. She later appeared as a primary character in several TV series, particularly gaining international exposure playing the main female character in the internationally-broadcast Besos Robados. Still very young she moved to NYC by herself to study acting and dancing in schools such as The Actors Studio, The New York film Academy and The Broadway Dance Center. She calls this time in her life as "one of the most important stages in my life, discovering my self and art"

At the age of 18 she moved to Colombia following a successful career as an actress with TV series such as El Secretario and The Hypochondriac which launched her career gaining many recognitions for her work and important awards such as the prestigious India Catalina for Best Female Actress in a TV show for her work in El Secretario (2012 Cartagena Film Festival).

She pursued dancing as well as musical theater from early years. In 2012, while finishing shooting El Secretario, landed the lead role of Roxie Hart in a three month run of the musical Chicago in Colombia with more than 1,500 spectators.

Music

She started singing and writing songs at early years in her Family School Dance Studio an Art School that focuses in Dance, music, and acting for Young talents.

In 2011, she released her first music album Llegaré, with Colombian producer Jose Gaviria.

Acting

In 2011, Cayo landed the lead role in the Colombian TV comedy El Secretario, portraying a strong and smart CEO of a toilet paper corporation, The boss of The Secretary.

Antonia captured audiences hearts and launched her career in Colombia and other countries in South America. The following year she received the India Catalina award at the Cartagena Film Festival for best female actress in a TV series. Then in 2012, she starred as Macarena, a young, crazy and sensitive hypochondriac. A patient who got mistakenly diagnosed her with a terminal illness and says she has six months to live. Laced with humor, the series follows the life of our protagonist through the mistaken diagnosis and the subsequent revelation that she is fine. Ultimately, she resolves to fake her own death…and then has to deal with life.”

The Adaptation of the show will be executive produced by Emmy-winning Modern Family star Julie Bowen For Fox in the USA.

She is currently starring as Mary Luz, a naive, but surprisingly savvy young woman, who gets pregnant from the now dead owner of the Mexican soccer team, staying completely unprotected from Isabel and Chava, the actual owners of the soccer team and most important of the family heritage.

Club de Cuervos, a Mexican dramedy – Netflix’s first Spanish-language original series– chronicles the inner workings of a wealthy family that owns a beloved but struggling soccer team.

She is also about to release her first single in English called Let Me Go, a collaboration with Sebastian Llosa and produced by Renzo Bravvo and Raúl Chirinos. Recorded at INTERSCOPE Studios In Los Angeles, California. The song will be available worldwide in different platforms such as iTunes, Spotify, YouTube on April 15, 2016.

The official video will be out at the end of April 2016.
