White Lodging

White Lodging Services Corporation is a privately held American hotel management company. As of 2015, it manages more than 160 hotels. It is one of the largest hospitality companies in the United States.[1]

White Lodging was founded in 1985[2] by Bruce W. White, the son of the billionaire Dean White.[3] The company is headquartered in Merrillville, Indiana.[4]

In 2014 and 2015, White Lodging was the subject of data security breaches at numerous locations that it manages.[5][4][6][7][8] In November 2016, former chief financial officer Ken Barrett was named chief executive officer of the company.[9]

In December 2017, White Lodging announced that it would be selling 82 of its suburban hotel management contracts to Interstate Hotels and Resorts, cutting its hotel portfolio in half and resulting in the loss of more than 50 corporate office staff.[10]
