Help
The International Council of Shopping Centers classifies as a neighborhood shopping center, centers usually anchored by a supermarket (in Asia-Pacific it may also be a hypermarket) with a general mix of retail store types that have:
- in the United States, gross leaseable area of 30,000 to 125,000 square feet (2,800 to 11,600 m2)
- In Canada, gross leaseable area of 40,000 to 99,000 square feet (3,700 to 9,200 m2)
- in Asia-Pacific, net leaseable area of 20,000 to 200,000 square feet (1,900 to 18,600 m2)
Not many neighborhood centers are WP:NOTABLE but some may be due to being the site of a former regional shopping mall, or some other historic details such as events, architect, architecture, etc.
