This category will subsume any category created for Afghan photographers, who would not additionally be listed individually below.

As for other photographers, they are listed if they have done a substantial amount of work in Afghanistan (at a minimum, one book devoted to it) or if their work there was of unusual historical or other significance. Photographers who have merely made short visits to Afghanistan and had miscellaneous photographs published should not be specified below.
